Moylough A Peoples Heritage

This book is not intended to be a history book as such, rather a record of various people and events which have influenced the lives of the people in Moylough for the past few centuries. People are the main theme throughout the book. Those who originated in Moylough, those who settled here and those who left; how and where they lived; their landlords, folklore and final resting places.

  • I cannot adequately describe what it meant to me to discovered Moylough A People’s Heritage a number of years ago.
My father Martin Joseph Taniane is in two photographs on pages 115 and 116. I have only seen one other picture of my father. He was wrongfully institutionalised when his marriage broke down in 1954 which deprived me of ever meeting or knowing him. Natural justice is very slow in coming through the courts.
